Tickets are available for Crystal Palace Under-21s’ crucial EFL Trophy visit to Newport County on Tuesday, 3rd November, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT. Darren Powell’s side are pursuing a place in the knockout stages for the first time in Academy history.

The competition, now known as the Jersey Mike’s Trophy, has placed Palace in a group alongside Swindon Town, Plymouth Argyle and Newport. The Young Eagles began with a 2-1 victory over Swindon, Caleb Kporha and Seb Williams finding the net, before suffering defeat at Plymouth Argyle.

Newport currently sit second in the group on four points after beating Swindon 2-0 and drawing 2-2 with Plymouth before losing the resulting penalty shootout. Palace are third with three points, while Plymouth lead on five. Swindon are bottom without a point and cannot qualify.

The top two teams progress to the round of 32, while level scores after 90 minutes are settled by penalties for an additional point. As a result, Palace need victory in Wales to maintain their qualification hopes.

A win would also take Powell’s team beyond the Academy’s previous best total of three points in the competition. Palace have competed in the EFL Trophy since 2021/22 but have yet to advance beyond the group stage, giving Tuesday’s fixture added significance.

Tickets are issued as PDF print-at-home documents when purchased. Supporters unable to attend can watch the match in the UK on Sky Sports+, through the Sky Sports app or via NOW.
