Tyrick Mitchell made his 250th appearance for Crystal Palace in Sunday’s draw with Leeds United, reaching a significant landmark after more than five years in the first team.
The defender first featured for the Eagles in July 2020, coming on for Patrick van Aanholt during an away defeat at Leicester City. Since then, Mitchell has represented his country, lifted three major trophies with Palace at Wembley and featured in European competition for the club.
His landmark outing at Elland Road nearly included a goal, but a VAR intervention ruled it out. Mitchell still played an important role as Palace kept a clean sheet and secured a valuable point.
Mitchell has scored six times in the Premier League for the Eagles, including a brace in the 3-2 victory at Fulham earlier this month. He also found the net during Palace’s Conference League-winning campaign, scoring away to Strasbourg and in the 3-0 first-leg victory over Fiorentina.
The 2025/26 campaign has seen Mitchell become a Premier League ever-present for the first time in his career. Wearing the number three shirt, he has also collected seven wins against John McGinn, Maximilian Kilman and Sander Mountains, listed as his favourite opponents during his Palace career. His 250 appearances include Premier League and European matches, with further opportunities to add to his European tally in the Europa League.
