Pierre Sage has chosen the Crystal Palace side for this afternoon’s 12:30 BST meeting with Bristol City at Selhurst Park, with the friendly providing valuable playing time for the players remaining in South London during the international break.
Eleven senior Palace players are away on international duty, resulting in nine changes from the team that started the 0-0 draw at Leeds United in the Eagles’ previous match.
Walter Benítez starts in goal, behind a defensive line of Óscar Mingueza, Jefferson Lerma, Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell and Tyrick Mitchell. Adam Wharton and Will Hughes are selected in midfield.
Evann Guessand, Eddie Nketiah and Dwight McNeil make up the attacking trio, as Palace prepare to face a Bristol City side described as being in strong form in the Championship.
Palace’s substitutes are Matthews and Lee, both goalkeepers, alongside Kalembo, Okoli, Doucouré, Williams, Kporha, Sealey and Nascimento. The match will be streamed live on Palace TV+, with several viewing packages available.
