Luca Williams-Barnett gave Tottenham supporters a glimpse of his potential during his brief Premier League debut against Crystal Palace, and the teenager could now be in contention for a more prominent role at Leeds United.

The 18-year-old was introduced with only a few minutes remaining of Spurs' 2-0 victory over Palace. Despite spending around five minutes on the pitch, Williams-Barnett immediately attracted attention with a composed first touch before embarking on a direct run.

His movement took him past Palace defender Anan Khalaili and then Dario Osorio, allowing him to send a cross towards Mohammed Kudus. The opportunity was not converted, but Williams-Barnett continued to show confidence and later encouraged the Tottenham supporters to make more noise.

The appearance ended a long wait for the academy player, who had previously been an unused substitute on 10 Premier League occasions. He had also featured in the Carabao Cup before being given his top-flight opportunity by Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi described Williams-Barnett as a major talent after the match. Tottenham have now won three Premier League games in succession, and their upcoming trip to Leeds could provide another chance for the youngster to feature.

Should Tottenham reward his encouraging cameo against Crystal Palace with a full debut at Leeds United?
