Crystal Palace will travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday for a 17:30 GMT Premier League fixture, with Tottenham manager Roberto de Zerbi confirming that James Maddison is available for the match.

Maddison came off injured during Tottenham’s previous game against Chelsea, but De Zerbi said the midfielder has been working consistently in recent weeks. The manager indicated that the club will assess whether it is sensible to take any risks with returning players, particularly after Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski were previously pushed through fitness concerns.

Tottenham will be without Tosin, Lucas Bergvall and Mykhailo Mudryk, according to the manager. De Zerbi also stressed that Maddison, like every player returning from injury, must maintain a high level of work rather than receive special treatment in training.

Spurs go into the Palace match after a 2-0 victory over Chelsea, but De Zerbi said one or two wins would not be enough for a club aiming to finish the season strongly. He wants Tottenham to show greater consistency, focus and desire as they attempt to win consecutive matches.

The manager also highlighted Tottenham’s threat from distance, with four of their last five goals coming from outside the penalty area. He said his players possess that quality and believes the team is improving in its ability to score in different situations.
