Toby Williams has been rewarded for a remarkable introduction to Crystal Palace’s Under-18s by winning the LOADED Goal of the Month award for August.
The striker came on during the second half against West Ham United with the contest level at 1-1. He immediately made an impact, forcing a save before AJ Greaves converted the rebound to put the Young Eagles in front.
Williams then produced the decisive moment deep into stoppage time. Following a long throw, the ball fell to him just inside the West Ham half, where he noticed the goalkeeper away from his line and attempted an audacious lob. The effort sailed over the goalkeeper and into the net, completing Palace’s 3-1 victory.
The goal also brought the final action of the match, giving Javier Alonso’s side a winning start to their 2026/27 Premier League South campaign. The competition represents the top level of Under-18 football for Category One academies.
After receiving the trophy, Williams said he was shocked and grateful to have won, while revealing that Donte Martin had encouraged him to check the goalkeeper’s position before shooting. The award was selected by an internal panel.
