Crystal Palace Under-21s resume their Premier League International Cup campaign on Wednesday evening when RSC Anderlecht visit Sutton United’s 360 Engage Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 BST on 14 October, with Palace looking to strengthen their position in Group D.
The Young Eagles began the competition with a 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain, Adler Nascimento and Seb Williams providing the goals. Another win would enhance Palace’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals, with the top two teams in each group progressing. PSV Eindhoven and FC Porto complete the section alongside PSG and Anderlecht.
Palace’s recent run has been mixed. An unbeaten opening across four matches included wins against PSG and Swindon Town, before consecutive defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Plymouth Argyle interrupted their momentum. The international break also provided an opportunity for several academy players to step into senior surroundings, with seven Young Eagles included in the first-team squad for the friendly against Bristol City.
Chuks Okoli, Amaari Sealey and Nascimento made their non-competitive first-team debuts in that match, while Harry Lee, Nat Kalembo, Caleb Kporha and Williams were also involved. Palace will also welcome back Taha Majni and Dean Benamar after their spells with Morocco Under-20s and England Under-19s respectively. Majni is available for this fixture because his suspension from the Blackburn match applies to Premier League 2 rather than the International Cup.
Anderlecht’s reserve side, RSCA Futures, compete in Belgium’s second tier and arrive in south London after a difficult start to their league campaign. They have also changed managers during the international break, with Karim Mokeddem replacing Jelle Coen. Palace defeated the sides 3-1 in the previous edition of the competition, Zach Marsh, Mofe Jemide and Jemiah Umolu getting on the scoresheet.
The match will be shown live on Palace TV+, with coverage beginning at 18:45 BST. Supporters can also follow live commentary through Palace’s Academy X account, while a match report, reaction and later highlights will be published through the club’s academy channels. Tickets are available as print-at-home PDFs, and Under-14s must attend with a paying adult. Season Ticket+, Gold and Junior Gold Members can access selected Under-18 and Under-21 home matches for free, with one complimentary ticket available per eligible membership or season-ticket holder.
