Crystal Palace Under-21s will begin their Vertu Trophy campaign with a trip to Swindon Town on Tuesday 15 September, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 BST at the Eady County Ground.
Darren Powell’s Young Eagles will face senior opposition from League One and League Two in the competition, with Swindon providing the first test. The Robins spent much of last season in the League Two play-off places before finishing outside the play-off positions.
Palace’s Academy have already faced Swindon in this competition in recent years. The Young Eagles recorded a 2-0 victory during the 2022/23 campaign, with John-Kymani Gordon scoring both goals.
Tickets for the Palace supporters’ section are on sale from £2. The club has also confirmed that tickets bought on matchday will not cost more, giving supporters the option to purchase in advance or at the ground.
