Crystal Palace produced a strong comeback at Selhurst Park, recovering from an early Nottingham Forest goal to claim a 3-1 win and register their first victory.
Forest struck after only three minutes when Dan Ndoye took advantage of a loose back-pass from Anan Khalaili and finished past Walter Benitez. Palace responded with pressure of their own, but Jorgen Strand Larsen was denied first by Matz Sels and then by a Murillo block.
Forest continued to create opportunities, with Ndoye heading at Benitez and Morgan Gibbs-White hitting the crossbar. Liam Delap was also thwarted by the Palace goalkeeper after the rebound dropped to him, and those missed chances proved costly.
Palace levelled before the interval as Daichi Kamada completed a well-worked move for his first Premier League goal. The Eagles then turned the match around before half-time, with Sels saving from Tyrick Mitchell before Jefferson Lerma forced the resulting corner through the goalkeeper.
Forest remained dangerous after the restart, but Palace extended their advantage just before the hour. Sels could only parry Strand Larsen’s effort, allowing Pino to react quickest and slot in the rebound. Benitez later preserved Palace’s lead by keeping out a Chris Wood header, while Sels denied Lerma a second goal as the Eagles held on for a memorable comeback.
