Crystal Palace will welcome HSG Hoffenheim to Selhurst Park on Thursday, 5 November, with kick-off scheduled for 17:45 GMT. Tickets remain available for the Eagles’ latest UEFA Europa League fixture.
Pierre Sage’s squad has been strengthened by the return of Quinten Timber and Jørgen Strand Larsen. The midfielder and forward have both been unavailable since Palace’s previous European outing away to Beșiktaș.
Sage confirmed that the pair have now recovered sufficiently to feature. Both players trained with the team last week but were not considered ready to play at that stage; they have since reached the required level of fitness for the Hoffenheim match.
Palace enter the contest with four points from their first three league-phase matches in the competition. The fixture is also the eighth game Sage’s side will have played within a 25-day period, during a spell that has included Premier League and Carabao Cup commitments alongside their European campaign.
The manager said the squad had three training sessions available before facing Hoffenheim, giving the players additional preparation time compared with their two previous matches. He highlighted the value of that work for confidence, understanding the plan and the team’s ability to carry it out on the pitch.
