Jean-Philippe Mateta will miss Crystal Palace's next three Premier League matches after his appeal against the red card received against Tottenham was unsuccessful.
The forward will sit out the home meeting with Liverpool on 8 November, Palace's trip to Coventry City on 21 November and the visit of Hull City on 29 November.
Mateta was initially shown a yellow card by referee Michael Oliver following a late challenge on Micky van de Ven. After a video assistant referee review, that decision was changed to a straight red card just 13 minutes into the match.
The ban comes during a difficult campaign for the France international, who has scored once in five appearances. That is a sharp contrast with last season, when he recorded 16 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.
Mateta will remain available for Palace's Europa League schedule during the suspension. He can feature against Hoffenheim on 5 November and Real Sociedad on 26 November.
