Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has described Crystal Palace as a “really strong side” ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting at Elland Road, which kicks off at 14:00 BST.
Farke spoke highly of Palace's recent achievements, highlighting their success in winning titles over the past few seasons. He also believes the Eagles have improved during the summer and will be stronger than they were last campaign.
Leeds will welcome back Ilia Gruev after the midfielder completed nearly 90 minutes for the under-21s following a knee injury that had kept him out since May. Farke said Gruev is available for the weekend.
However, Harry Wilson has suffered a quad injury and is expected to miss Wales' matches during the upcoming international break, while Joe Rodon remains unavailable. Farke also described Dominic Calvert-Lewin's England recall as fully deserved after the striker's strong start to the season.
Despite Leeds' form and discussion of a possible European push, Farke said his immediate priority remains reaching 40 points and securing another Premier League season. He added that the extended international break would give his squad extra recovery time while allowing more detailed work with the players who remain at the club.
