Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has spoken highly of Crystal Palace ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting at Elland Road, with kick-off scheduled for 14:00 BST.
Farke described the Eagles as a “really strong side” and said he had the utmost respect for what Palace have achieved, particularly during the past few seasons. He also pointed to their success in winning titles and their summer business, which he believes has left the team stronger than it was last campaign.
The Leeds manager also praised his own side's form, saying their performances over an extended period were no longer simply a short-term run of results. However, he stressed that Leeds' immediate objective remains reaching 40 points and securing another Premier League season, rather than focusing on talk of a potential European challenge.
Leeds will have Ilian Gruev available after the midfielder played almost 90 minutes for the under-21s following a long-term knee injury. Harry Wilson has suffered a quad problem and is expected to miss Wales' international fixtures, while Joe Rodon remains unavailable.
Farke also confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin's excellent start to the season had earned him an England recall, describing the striker's selection as fully deserved after his goals and performances.
