Crystal Palace Under-21 goalkeeper Harry Lee is preparing for a memorable return to Devon when the Young Eagles travel to Plymouth Argyle for their second EFL Trophy fixture.

Lee was born in Torquay and spent 10 years developing at Exeter City before gaining further experience with several non-League clubs in the county. His Exeter background adds extra significance to the meeting with Plymouth, one of the club’s biggest rivals, and he will now return to familiar surroundings wearing Palace colours.

The goalkeeper has made an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign. Palace went unbeaten across their opening four matches, drawing with Arsenal before beating Aston Villa, Paris Saint-Germain and Swindon Town, although that sequence ended with a narrow defeat against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Lee played a key role in the positive opening. He made eight saves during a 2-0 Premier League 2 victory at Aston Villa and also stopped a penalty in Palace’s 2-1 Premier League International Cup win over PSG. The shot-stopper believes his consistency and experience as one of the older players in the squad have helped him begin the season strongly.

Palace started their EFL Trophy campaign by coming from behind to defeat Swindon Town 2-1. After Swindon took the lead, Caleb Kporha equalised in first-half stoppage time before Seb Williams completed the comeback with a long-range strike. The competition gives Palace’s young players the chance to face senior League One and League Two opposition in larger stadiums and in front of bigger crowds.

The Plymouth match will be played at Home Park, with away supporters located in the Barn Park End. The fixture can be streamed in the UK through Sky Sports+, the Sky Sports app and NOW, while Palace will also provide live commentary and post-match coverage through its Academy channels.
