Eleven senior Crystal Palace players are representing their countries during the September-October international break, with Zavier Gozo’s first senior appearance for the United States and Daichi Kamada’s involvement in two Japan wins providing the early highlights.

Kamada played the second half of Japan’s 3-1 friendly victory over Uruguay before starting their follow-up match against Venezuela. The Palace midfielder featured for the opening 45 minutes in Hiroshima, with Japan eventually securing a 2-1 win. The Samurai Blue will next face Ecuador in the semi-final of the Kirin Cup, followed by a meeting with either New Zealand or Panama.

Gozo made his USA debut in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Peru in Orlando, entering shortly after the hour mark. The 19-year-old received his first senior call-up after previously representing the country at youth level, including 16 appearances for the Under-20s. Palace defender Chris Richards was not involved against Peru due to load management and will hope to add to his 40 international caps in the USA’s remaining fixtures against Chile, Mexico and Canada.

Quinten Timber began the Netherlands’ Nations League campaign with a start in the 1-1 draw against Germany, playing 57 minutes. He later came off the bench in the closing stages of a 2-1 victory over Serbia, taking his senior international total to 15. The Netherlands sit top of League A Group 4 and face Greece next before meeting Serbia again.

Anan Khalaili started both of Israel’s Nations League matches, completing the full game in a 3-1 defeat by Austria before playing 76 minutes against the Republic of Ireland. Jørgen Strand Larsen came on late in Norway’s 2-1 loss to Portugal after being an unused substitute in their win over Denmark. Yéremy Pino remained on the bench as Spain defeated England 3-2 at Wembley, while Honest Ahanor was an unused substitute in Italy’s 2-0 defeat to Belgium.

Jaydee Canvot completed the full match for France Under-21s in their 1-1 draw with Iceland. Ismaïla Sarr missed Senegal’s opening AFCON 2027 qualifier, a 1-1 draw against Mozambique, while Darío Osorio played 76 minutes of Chile’s 1-0 defeat to Canada. Osorio’s next fixture could see him face Palace teammates Richards and Gozo when Chile meet the USA in St. Louis, before Chile finish the window against Mexico.
