Crystal Palace are reluctant to sell Ismaila Sarr during the January transfer window after holding talks with the winger over a new contract.

The 28-year-old Senegal international wanted to join Liverpool in the summer, but Palace now want to keep him at Selhurst Park. The club’s position comes after discussions about extending his current terms.

Palace are also considering their options in the dugout. Should they decide to sack French manager Pierre Sage, the club would look to appoint a manager who is currently out of work.

Former Brentford and Tottenham boss Thomas Frank and ex-Burnley, Everton and Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche are among the contenders if Palace choose to move on from Sage.
