Crystal Palace have expressed their sadness following the death of former goalkeeper Kevin Miller at the age of 57.
Born in Falmouth, Miller arrived at Selhurst Park from Watford in the summer of 1997, after twice being named his previous club’s Player of the Season. His move came after Palace had returned to the Premier League under manager Steve Coppell.
Miller went on to play 76 times for the Eagles across the following two seasons. He later left Palace for Barnsley in 2002.
Beyond his spells with Watford and Palace, Miller also played for Birmingham, Barnsley, Bristol Rovers, Derby County, Southampton, Torquay United and Bodmin Town. He had two periods with Exeter City, where he also worked as a coach and mentored Palace Academy graduate Joe Whitworth.
The club’s thoughts are with Miller’s family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.
