Crystal Palace have received a boost ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Leeds United, with Harry Wilson ruled out of the match due to a quad injury.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke confirmed that Wilson reported discomfort after the club’s previous game and also experienced problems during the training week. The 29-year-old is therefore set to miss Wales’ upcoming international fixtures as well as the Palace game.
Wilson joined Leeds this summer after the club had first tried to sign him a year earlier. However, his start to life at Elland Road has been limited so far: he began the opening match of the season but has been used as a substitute in the Premier League since then.
Farke also confirmed that defender Joe Rodon will be unavailable against Palace, while stating that the rest of his squad is available for selection. Midfielder Ilia Gruev, meanwhile, has taken another step in his return from a long-term knee injury after playing almost 90 minutes for the under-21 side.
The Palace fixture is being played on Sunday to give the visitors additional recovery time after their Europa League match on Thursday.
