Cheick Doucouré could be involved when Crystal Palace host Ipswich at Selhurst Park on Saturday, offering a potential boost to Pierre Sage’s midfield options.

The Mali international has not made a first-team appearance for Palace since January 2025 after suffering two serious knee injuries. He appeared set to return in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup victory over Middlesbrough, but illness prevented him from taking part.

Sage had previously indicated that Doucouré was delighted to learn he would be included in the matchday squad for the trip to Fulham, where Palace secured their first league win of the season with a 3-2 victory. The manager has now confirmed that the 26-year-old may feature against Ipswich.

Doucouré was once a transfer target for Liverpool, and his eventual return would provide Palace with an experienced midfield option after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. His involvement remains subject to the final decision before Saturday’s fixture.
