Crystal Palace were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham on Saturday night as their opponents extended their winning run to three matches.

The game turned against Palace after Jean-Philippe Mateta was dismissed for a late challenge on Micky van de Ven. Tottenham took advantage soon afterwards, with Archie Gray heading the hosts in front with a powerful finish.

Palace were unable to find a response before the interval, and Tottenham added a second goal after half-time. Jan Paul van Hecke found the net to complete the scoring and secure another three points for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

The result leaves Palace on the wrong side of a defeat against a Tottenham team now occupying eighth place in the Premier League table.
