Crystal Palace Women will be represented by nine players during the upcoming October international break, with midfielder Shanade Hopcroft receiving her first senior call-up for the Republic of Ireland. The Eagles have started the 2026/27 campaign with three wins, three draws and one defeat across all competitions, leaving them eighth in the Barclays Women’s Super League and third in the Subway Players Cup League Phase.
Hopcroft joins Palace teammates Hayley Nolan and Abbie Larkin in Carla Ward’s Ireland squad. Ireland begin a World Cup qualifying play-off double-header against Kazakhstan in Astana on Friday, 9 October, before the return fixture in Ireland four days later. Hopcroft qualifies through her grandmother, who was born in County Sligo.
England’s U23 squad includes Palace pair Lexi Lloyd-Smith and Teyah Goldie. September’s Player of the Month, Lloyd-Smith, and Goldie will help the holders begin their U23 European Competition campaign against Norway in York on Monday, 12 October. Palace goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin has also been selected by France for a friendly against Latvia on Saturday, 10 October, as she continues her preparations ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
Kirsty Howat is part of Scotland’s squad for their World Cup play-off against Czechia, with the first match taking place in Pardubice on 9 October and the second in Scotland on 13 October. A Palace representative will also feature in Nigeria’s Olympic qualifying double-header against Comoros, with goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor included after making her international debut earlier this year.
Completing the Palace contingent is Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, who has been named in Jamaica’s squad for two friendlies against Mexico. The matches in Aguascalientes and Santiago de Querétaro will form part of Jamaica’s preparation for their upcoming CONCACAF quarter-final against Costa Rica, where victory would secure a place at the 2027 World Cup.
