Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage believes his side merited more from their 0-0 draw with Leeds, although he acknowledged that the hosts' goalkeeper was required to make an important save.

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Sage said he was proud of Palace's effort and commitment despite their inability to convert their opportunities. He felt the team continued to show attacking intent and create chances, but admitted the result was frustrating.

The match also delivered Palace's first clean sheet. Sage said the team looked more comfortable together and defended better than in previous games, identifying that improvement as an important first step. He added that Palace needed to turn performances into more points, having collected four after five matches.

Palace's wider record in 2026 remains a concern among the Premier League's ever-present sides across the calendar year. Only Tottenham, with 18 points, have taken fewer than Palace's 23 during that period.

Anan Khalaili was another notable performer for Palace. His 21 tackles are the most recorded by any player in the Premier League this season, while he also regained possession 11 times against Leeds, more than any other player in the match.
