Crystal Palace supporters will be able to watch When Eagles Dare for free on the club’s official YouTube channel, with the five-part documentary scheduled for daily release during the international break.

The series, produced by Palace TV and previously shown on Amazon Prime Video, covers the period between the club’s financial crisis in 2010 and the Championship play-off final at Wembley in 2013. The first episode is due at 6pm on Monday, 28th September, followed by a new instalment at the same time each day through Friday, 2nd October.

When Eagles Dare examines the efforts to save Palace, the creation of the CPFC 2010 consortium and the team’s progress under Dougie Freedman before Ian Holloway’s side secured promotion at Wembley.

The documentary includes interviews with figures from across that period, including chairman Steve Parish, Freedman, Holloway, Wilfried Zaha, Damien Delaney, Yannick Bolasie, Jonny Williams and Mile Jedinak. Previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage also features throughout the series.

The result is a Palace-focused account of a defining chapter in the club’s history, covering events on and off the pitch through the testimony of those involved. A preview of the series is available ahead of the first episode’s release on Monday.
