Crystal Palace supporters can now watch the concluding episode of When Eagles Dare on the club’s official YouTube channel. The five-part documentary charts the journey from the financial crisis of 2010 to the Championship play-off final at Wembley in 2013.
Produced by Palace TV and previously released on Amazon Prime Video, the series concludes with an episode titled Standing on the Edge of Greatness. The story follows the Eagles after their dramatic victory over Brighton, as they prepare for a decisive Wembley meeting with Watford and a place in the Premier League at stake.
Palace entered the final as underdogs after recording just one win in their previous 10 matches. The episode captures the growing anticipation and pressure surrounding the biggest match of the CPFC 2010 era, following the club’s path from financial uncertainty to the brink of promotion.
When Eagles Dare features interviews with several key figures from that period, including chairman Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman, Ian Holloway, Wilfried Zaha, Damien Delaney, Yannick Bolasie, Jonny Williams and Mile Jedinak. Previously unseen footage also provides an inside look at the people and events that shaped the club’s rise.
The documentary covers both Palace’s fight for survival off the pitch and the team’s progress under Freedman and Holloway. With the finale now streaming, supporters can revisit the remarkable sequence of events that carried the Eagles to Wembley and changed the club’s history.
