Crystal Palace welcome Middlesbrough to Selhurst Park on Tuesday 8 September for a 19:45 BST kick-off in the Carabao Cup third round. Tickets remain available on general sale, with supporters able to purchase up to four per client reference number. Should the contest remain level after 90 minutes, it will be decided by a penalty shootout.
No train disruption is currently expected, with local operators reporting a normal service. Supporters are nevertheless advised to check Transport for London updates before setting off and to allow plenty of time for their journey. Turnstiles will open at 17:45, two hours before kick-off.
Fans should download their ticket to an iOS, Google or Android digital wallet as early as possible and check that it displays the Middlesbrough fixture rather than an earlier match. A stored digital ticket can be used without an internet connection, although the phone must be switched on. Matchday reprint stations will open from 17:45, usually near Entrances 9 and 4. Some entrances will also feature new turnstiles, where supporters can tap their device at the top of the screen before entering.
Only one bag per person is permitted, and it must be no larger than A4. Bags may be searched visually or physically. Larger items can be left at the free bag-drop facility in the main car park information point, which opens three hours before kick-off and closes 45 minutes after the final whistle. Items are left at the owner’s risk and remain subject to a security search.
Construction linked to the Main Stand redevelopment means there will be no Fanzone for this fixture. Palace are encouraging supporters to arrive early, with activities and entertainment available inside the stadium. New merchandise outlets are operating in the Main Stand and Holmesdale Road Stand, while a club shop trailer will initially be positioned at the corner of Holmesdale Road and Park Road. The main Club Shop will also open as usual. New matchday food menus are available, and four power-bank stations have been installed, charging £4 per hour up to a maximum of £20 for five hours.
Audio-descriptive commentary and Give Vision Headsets remain available for visually impaired supporters. Requests must be made at least two days before the match, with equipment collected from the Information Point, which opens three hours before kick-off. Palace also recommend following their WhatsApp Channel for matchday updates, including team news, press conferences and results.
Supporters who witness abuse can report it to a steward, police officer or the club’s confidential text service on 07507 477 669. Messages should include the type of behaviour and precise seat or location details, with anonymity available on request. The matchday programme will also be on sale for £2.50, featuring interviews with Jaydee Canvot, manager Pierre Sage, captain Dean Henderson and chairman Steve Parish.
