Crystal Palace were denied a point by a late Ipswich Town winner in a 3-2 defeat at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles had appeared to recover from a difficult afternoon when they levelled the contest late on. However, Ipswich struck again in the closing stages to claim victory.
Palace played the majority of the match with ten men, making the task of securing a result even more demanding. Despite that disadvantage, they remained in contention until the final moments.
The defeat means Palace were unable to complete a third win in the space of seven days, with Ipswich leaving south London after snatching all three points.
