Crystal Palace’s Business Club is set to return to Selhurst Park in November, with football finance specialist Kieran Maguire confirmed as the featured speaker.
The event will take place from 11:30 to 16:00 GMT on Thursday, 19 November, inside The Glasshouse, the club’s new hospitality and events venue. The space offers floor-to-ceiling views across the stadium, providing the setting for an afternoon focused on football, finance and business networking.
Maguire is Professor of Football Finance at the University of Liverpool, author of The Price of Football and co-host of the podcast of the same name. He is also a regular contributor to outlets including BBC Sport, TalkSport, Guardian Football Weekly, The Times and Private Eye.
Known as the “Columbo of football finance”, Maguire has produced two State of the Game reports commissioned by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. His work in education and broadcasting has also received recognition, including awards for accountancy lecturing and finance podcasting.
Individual tickets cost £75 plus VAT, while tables for 10 are available for £700 plus VAT. Palace describe the event as an opportunity to connect with dozens of regional businesses while hearing from a leading voice on the financial workings of the game.
