Michael Olise’s rise to the top of international football has taken him from the English game to Bayern Munich and the France national team.

Born in England on December 12, 2001, Olise developed through the English football system and began his professional career with Reading before moving to Crystal Palace. During his time at Palace, he showed the versatility that has become a defining part of his game, operating on the wing, as a traditional number 10 or behind the main striker.

Olise joined Bayern Munich in 2024, but chose to represent France internationally because of his mother’s nationality. He made his senior debut for Les Bleus on September 6, 2024, after being selected by Didier Deschamps.

Since then, Olise has steadily become an important member of the France squad. His performances at the 2026 World Cup have taken that progress to another level, with the former Palace player dazzling on the biggest stage and underlining the talent first developed during his time in English football.
