Dean Henderson has called on Crystal Palace supporters to stay behind the team, insisting they deserve to enjoy the club’s recent success more than anyone.
The goalkeeper has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at Selhurst Park until 2030. Since joining Palace from Manchester United in August 2023, Henderson has made 119 appearances for the Eagles.
His time in south London has already included an FA Cup triumph, while he has also worn the captain’s armband during the club’s Conference League campaign. Reflecting on the FA Cup final, Henderson praised the supporters’ contribution and recalled the atmosphere they created at Wembley.
Henderson also stressed the importance of making Selhurst Park a difficult ground for opponents in the future. He said Palace would need the backing of their fans during what he described as a transition period, with players returning late and new ideas being introduced.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Henderson remains confident Palace can enjoy a strong season. He urged the players and supporters to put negativity aside and approach the campaign together, believing that unity will make the team stronger.
