Dean Henderson has called on Crystal Palace supporters to remain united as the club moves through a period of change, insisting they deserve the success the team has enjoyed.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper has committed his future to Palace by signing a long-term contract running until 2030. Since joining from Manchester United in August 2023, Henderson has made 119 appearances for the Eagles.
Henderson has played a significant role in the club’s recent achievements, including lifting the FA Cup. He has also captained Palace in the Conference League.
Reflecting on the FA Cup triumph, Henderson praised the supporters for the backing they provided at Wembley, where he felt their energy made a major difference to the players. He believes that connection will be just as important at Selhurst Park in the next phase of the club’s development.
The goalkeeper acknowledged that the transition has brought challenges, with players returning late and new ideas being introduced. He wants Selhurst Park to become a difficult venue for opponents and says Palace will need their fans’ support more than ever.
Henderson remains confident that Palace can enjoy a strong season and has urged everyone connected with the club to put negativity aside and pull in the same direction.
