Dean Henderson has spoken about the memories behind Crystal Palace’s most successful period after signing a new contract with the club last week.

The goalkeeper, who joined the Eagles from Manchester United just over three years ago, has seen the club lift three trophies during his time in south London. He also captained Palace to European silverware in May.

Looking back on the FA Cup triumph, Henderson highlighted the significance of winning one of English football’s most historic competitions while also delivering Palace’s first major trophy. He said the occasion still feels extraordinary when revisited, describing the day as something that seemed destined to happen.

Henderson also reflected on the European victory in Leipzig. By that stage, Palace had already experienced the feeling of winning silverware, but the captain said there was an added determination to claim what the team believed it deserved.

The success in Europe, he added, has helped maintain the club’s momentum and remains an important part of Palace’s appeal to players. Henderson said he wants to enjoy the journey ahead, while recognising that expectations are now higher after last season’s achievements.

He also praised the Palace supporters who travelled across Europe and backed the team throughout the campaign. Their support, particularly during the celebrations in Leipzig, was another highlight of a memorable period for the club.
