Crystal Palace’s long-awaited arrival on the European stage has transformed Selhurst Park into one of the continent’s most exciting football venues. After generations in which European nights seemed beyond reach, the 2025/26 season finally delivered that opportunity.
The journey began with Palace’s historic FA Cup triumph at Wembley in May 2025. That success opened the door to European competition and brought teams from across the continent to south London, with visitors arriving from Norway, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and Ukraine.
Each of those occasions produced a memorable atmosphere inside Selhurst Park, adding a new dimension to the stadium’s history. Palace’s European adventure ultimately reached its peak in Leipzig, where the Eagles secured the UEFA Conference League.
The challenge now rises with the club’s move into the Europa League. Palace will host Lech Poznań in SE25 on Thursday at 20:00 BST, marking the club’s first-ever game in the competition.
As the Eagles prepare to welcome their Polish opponents, Selhurst Park is set for another significant night under the European lights. The fixture offers Palace the chance to begin a new chapter after a landmark Conference League campaign.
