Crystal Palace fans have voiced deep frustration after their side were beaten 5-0 by Brighton in Sunday's Premier League meeting, with defensive organisation and coaching among the main concerns raised.
Darren described the result as the consequence of Palace allowing too many chances across too many matches. He said the team lacked a defensive structure and called on Pierre Sage to address the issue quickly.
Ray said he had feared Palace could become involved in a relegation battle from the beginning of the season. He also pointed to what he viewed as a poor mood within the squad, claiming that players regarded as among the better members of the team had been seeking moves away.
Terry argued that Sage should be given more time, but said the defeat underlined the risks of selling Palace's two best centre-backs without bringing in replacements with comparable experience or quality. He considered that particularly damaging when the team is using a back-three system.
Adrian called the performance unacceptable and urged Sage to alter both the tactics and formation. He said Palace regularly concede an early opportunity, while the defence appears disorganised and the midfield needs additional support. He also said the team requires leaders willing to match the opposition's intensity.
